Welcome

Here you will find all original artwork created by me, Susan Hoelting. Local to the Central Coast, I personally create every piece in my studio in historic downtown Paso Robles.

Originally a stained glass artist, I have evolved the craft into freestanding three-dimensional sculptures. Using modern materials I capture the beauty and elegance of traditional stained glass pieces and refresh it with current forms and bold designs.

My pieces are easily accessible with a wide range of prices and subject materials, from garden accessories to home interior show stoppers. Check it out!

About The Art

what is it?

I'm a stained glass artist by trade, local to the beautiful Central Coast. Over the last 10 years I've developed a process to create a freestanding sculpture with the same beautiful spirit of a stained glass window but much more affordable and versitile.

How is it made?

Each piece is hand cut from wood and covered with a mix of sealer, cement, mirror or stained glass (in some designs) and paint pigments. Due to variations in the process and materials, some pieces can be similar but no two can be made exactly the same.

Where can I put it?

Some of the pieces (such as the fairy doors) are designed to be placed in a garden or outdoor space. Others are made for mounting on a wall where the design and color can add style to a bare wall, and the mirror can add a lot of depth to the room.
